What To Expect When Working with Treillage as a Behind-the-Scenes Content Creator

Wedding Tablescape in Candlelight captured content

After years of working in the wedding and event space, I noticed one major theme: the behind-the-scenes always tends to go unnoticed.

Whether you’re a bride on your wedding day, an event planner or vendor making sure that every tiny detail is squared away, or a designer transforming a blank space, you pour hours of vision, planning, and hard work into creating something unforgettable.

And while the finished product always looks beautiful, what often goes unseen is everything it took to get there – the laughter, the teamwork, the problem-solving, and the small but meaningful details along the way.

That’s where Treillage comes in. As a behind-the-scenes content creator, my job is to preserve more than just the “after” photos. Through our offerings, you get BTS, short-form content that lets you relive the entire process that brought your vision to life.

If you’re wondering what it’s actually like to work with a behind-the-scenes content creator (and specifically with Treillage), this blog post walks you through everything you need to know!

What Is a Behind-the-Scenes Content Creator?

First things first, let’s get on the same page! What even is a behind-the-scenes content creator?

Let’s start with what we’re not: a behind-the-scenes content creator is not a traditional photographer or videographer. And a BTS content creator isn’t meant to replace either of those!

Instead, we’re to be used in tandem with traditional photographers and videographers to capture the candid, unscripted moments of your event in real time.

Think of it as the story-behind-the-story. With Treillage, you receive vertical, short-form content (primarily filmed on an iPhone for social-ready use) that highlights:

✔️ the process of your event or project coming to life

✔️ the energy and emotion in the room

✔️ the people and details that often don’t make it into polished photography or video reels

Arguably the best part of hiring a BTS content creator (in addition to traditional photography and videography) is instead of waiting weeks to receive professional galleries, you get your content within 24–72 hours, so you can share and relive those moments almost immediately!

What Types of People Hire a Behind-the-Scenes Content Creator?

Truthfully, anyone could hire a behind-the-scenes content creator to capture the BTS of their event, but at Treillage we specialize in three main groups of people:

Brides

If you’re a bride, you’ve likely already booked a photographer and possibly a videographer, but a BTS content creator adds another layer!

If you’re looking for fun, candid clips of you and your bridal party getting ready, behind-the-scenes of your first look, and unpolished moments that help you remember exactly how the day felt, that’s exactly what a behind-the-scenes content creator can capture for you.

If you’re torn between who to hire for your wedding day media team, I get it – it’s a big decision and you should feel 100% confident in what you choose, which is why I wrote a blog post breaking down the difference between them all and providing a quick checklist that can help you determine the best fit for your big day!

Event Planners and Vendors

As an event planner or vendor, you’re often the one doing the heavy lifting, from transforming a room, setting up décor, or making sure every timeline detail runs smoothly.

You’re also used to people hiring you, but when YOU hire a behind-the-scenes content creator to capture your work, you give yourself the chance to step out of the hustle and actually show off what you do best.

Instead of trying to snap a few photos in between tasks, you’ll have polished, intentional content that highlights the full scope of your work that you use to market your business long after the event ends!

Interior Designers

As an interior designer, your portfolio photos show the finished space, but behind-the-scenes content can show your entire process. From install days to client reactions to small design details, you get dynamic footage that not only enhances your portfolio but also gives you consistent, engaging marketing material.

What’s the Benefit of Hiring a Behind-the-Scenes Content Creator?

There are truly so many reasons why clients choose to add behind-the-scenes content to their wedding, event, or project, but a few of the most notable benefits include:

Preserve the Unseen Details

Whether you’re a bride, event planner or vendor, or interior designer, you work tirelessly to lay out all the details for your event at hand. It truly takes so much time and intention to make sure that you’re bringing a vision to life.

From the placement of floral arrangements to the alignment of table settings and the décor, your work is meticulous and it would be a shame for all of that work to only last for one day.

A behind-the-scenes content creator ensures that these details are captured in real time, even the ones that might not make it into traditional photography or videography!

Quick Turnaround

As mentioned, one of the best parts of hiring a BTS content creator is the speed of which you receive your content! With Treillage, you’ll receive raw clips within 24 hours and edited footage within 72 hours. That means you can start sharing and reliving the event right away.

💍 As a bride: Imagine sipping a margarita in Mexico with your new spouse and receiving an email with a folder full of candid, heartfelt moments from your big day – laughs, tears, and joyful hugs captured for you to relive instantly!

📝 As an event planner or vendor: Imagine relaxing on your couch the day after a big event and opening a folder to find behind-the-scenes clips of your team in action, the room transforming from empty to extraordinary, and all the little details that made the day run seamlessly.

🖼️ As an interior designer: Imagine completing one of your biggest projects to date and opening a folder to see the install day come alive. Everything from the materials, the collaboration, and the final touches, all ready to share with clients and followers while it’s still fresh.

Social Media Ready

Let’s just be real… in today’s digital world, visuals are everything and short-form, BTS content is naturally designed for platforms like Instagram and TikTok, so you always have fresh, relevant content for your marketing.

Showcase Your Expertise

For planners, vendors, and designers specifically, BTS content highlights your process, your team, and the full scope of your work, all of which help potential clients understand the value you bring long before they see the polished end result.

Complement Professional Photography and Videography

Lastly, I can’t emphasize this enough: hiring a behind-the-scenes content creator isn’t about replacing your media team. It’s about giving you an additional perspective!

Photographers and videographers create art for your albums and films, while BTS content gives you candid, immediate, and easily shareable material.

The Treillage Experience: What You Can Expect When Working With Us

In the most simple terms, when you choose to work with Treillage for your event, you get a custom-tailored process and one of a kind edits because there’s no one size fits all when it comes to weddings and events.

Every wedding and gathering is unique to you and your story.

We want to know about you, what you want the day to feel like, who you want to be there, and the moments that are important to you.

Our Process

  1. Initial Inquiry – after your initial inquiry, you can expect to hear from us within 48 hours to book a consultation call. We’ll discuss your vision, unique style, and the kind of BTS moments that you want captured during your event.
  2. Planning and Consulting – after our initial consultation call, you’ll receive a proposal with a contract and invoice. Once those are completed, I connect with your planner to discuss the day in detail and collaborate with the media team. Throughout the months leading up to your event, we’re preparing content plans, confirming logistics, keeping an eye on style trends and prepping our gear.
  3. The Big Day – on event day, I work alongside photographers, videographers, and other vendors as part of the team. My goal is to stay unobtrusive while still capturing authentic, candid moments, as collaboration is truly at the heart of what I do! I’ll come ready to capture the plan that we confirmed, but I stay observant so I can catch the unexpected moments too.
  4. Content Delivery – you’ll receive your raw content files within 24 hours and edited footage within 72 hours. This means you can be on a plane to your honeymoon or wrapping up an event, while already scrolling through and sharing the behind-the-scenes magic.
