When you work in the wedding or event industry, whether you’re a planner, a vendor, or even the bride, you get a front-row seat to everything that happens behind the scenes. You witness the weeks and months of planning, the endless logistics, and the thoughtful decisions that all come together to create an unforgettable experience.
It’s a LOT and I know this firsthand from my own time working in the wedding industry doing design and florals. I loved every intricate detail and each part of the process, but I couldn’t ignore one thing: the lack of behind-the-scenes content for both brides and vendors.
Sure, the final product is stunning, and there’s nothing better than hearing guests ooh and ahh over the finished space, but I often found myself wishing people could see what it actually took to get there… or at least give the creatives involved a way to look back on what they helped bring to life!
As an entrepreneur, I also understood the marketing value of short-form, behind-the-scenes content. It’s not only a way to preserve your creative process, but also a powerful tool for showcasing your work and expertise.
So, that’s when I decided to fill the gap by offering behind-the-scenes content creation for brides, planners, vendors, and interior designers in Knoxville, Tennessee.
What started as a side project quickly grew into a business: Treillage. Born out of a desire to create meaningful, design-centered content that allows people to relive the matchless moments of their event or project the very next day and long after.
At Treillage, we’re known for our observant, artful eye, our design-focused style, and our calm, collaborative approach. We capture imagery and short-form video for those with one-of-a-kind style, giving brides and creatives alike the chance to preserve and share the process—not just the polished outcome.
Why Behind-the-Scenes Content Creation Matters for Creatives
As a bride, event planner or vendor, or an interior designer, you probably already understand the importance of traditional photography and videography to capture your work. But why is the added layer of behind-the-scenes content creation equally important?
What I want people to know is that behind-the-scenes content is more than just “extra footage.” It’s the story of the work, the people, and the process that makes an event or project possible.
And while professional photos and videos beautifully showcase the polished final product, BTS content shines a light on the journey to get there.
Here’s why this matters so much:
➡️ For Brides: of course you want to have those perfectly polished and styled photos to add to your wedding album and to hang up on the walls of your home, but don’t you also want to be able to relive the emotional, candid moments that often go unseen?
Like the nervous laugh you shed while getting ready, your best friends adjusting your veil, or the quiet pause with your parents before walking down the aisle.
These in-between moments tell the full story of your wedding day, not just the highlight reel.
➡️ For event planners and vendors: you work countless hours to bring a vision to life for an event, whether it’s a wedding, milestone celebration, or even a corporate gathering and everyone will see that outcome. BTS content is a way to showcase what it takes to really get there.
From transforming a blank room into a breathtaking reception space, to arranging florals at just the right angle, to orchestrating the flow of a seamless timeline, a behind-the-scenes content creator captures you and your team in action.
It gives you ready-to-use marketing content that highlights your expertise, your attention to detail, and the energy you bring to every event.
➡️ For Interior Designers: portfolio photos are essential, but they rarely capture the messy, beautiful, in-progress moments, like install days, sourcing materials, or your team collaborating to bring a client’s vision to life.
Short-form BTS content bridges that gap, giving you engaging content that not only markets your design work, but also helps clients see the artistry and intention behind it.
Ultimately, BTS content matters because it preserves the effort, artistry, and authenticity that can’t always be seen in a finished photo – it’s about celebrating both the journey AND the result. 🎉
Meet Your Behind-the-Scenes Content Creator
So, who’s the girl behind the iPhone? (And yes, you read that right – as a behind-the-scenes content creator, I primarily shoot content on my iPhone to ensure my work can be flexible, unobtrusive, and quick, while still delivering high-quality visuals.)
I’m Cortney – Founder of Treillage, Christ follower, wife, mom, creative to the core, entrepreneur, and romantic. 👋

Often the most observant in the room with a keen eye and vision for design-centered moments. I work alongside my couples to craft imagery and film content that are seamlessly intentional — brimming with genuine emotion and matchless moments.
A few things I believe that directly relate to my work:
- You deserve to *enjoy* your day — hire a planner! (And so do your friends and family.) Which is why we exclusively accept weddings with planners. If you’re in need of one in Tennessee, ask for a list of our favorites!
- The best inspiration comes from life, not from Pinterest. We are excited to create content as original as you are. Trust your vendors to execute your vision and lean on your media team to capture it best.
- We love it when you bring us your ideas, then trust in our creative direction and experience. It’s about so much more than the shot list. We’re artfully observant so that we can capture the intentional moments.
- Do whatever you can to truly be present. This is exactly why you hire a media team – to capture all the details so you don’t have to worry about missing a moment with those you love most.
- Have the wedding you want, not the wedding social media trends are leading you to. Take inspiration from your story, things you love and what makes you you. Your day and the details will feel so much more impactful and memorable.
The Treillage Way
Enough about me though… let’s talk about Treillage!
Our Style: True to life with artful intentions, a detailed focus and foundations of observance.
We capture content that tells a story, but we also aim to capture the unplanned lived-in moments. We emphasize on the details by drawing attention to design elements, the intimate glances from afar, and striving to capture the matchless moments.
Our Method: High touch, calming, and custom-tailored to you. We’re always mindful of other vendors and value collaboration. Treillage exists to create content rooted in intentional observation — preserving the beauty in motion, the process, and the in-between.
From our initial consultation to the delivery of content, our hope is that you would feel connected both online and in the moments that matter most.
